From Transmission Roots to Complete Automotive Care
For many Reno drivers, the Levrett name brings transmission work to mind. That background continues to be part of our shop’s identity under Allen's Automotive.
Our team handles transmission diagnostics, service, and repair, along with clutch replacement and shifting concerns. If you have noticed hesitation, slipping, a fluid leak, or a change in how your vehicle shifts, we can investigate the cause and discuss the appropriate repairs.
A transmission concern does not have to be the reason you visit. The experience that brought customers through our doors for more involved repairs also supports the everyday care their vehicles need.
Make Us Part of Your Regular Routine
An oil change is an opportunity to check in on your vehicle. A brake inspection can help explain a noise you have been hearing. A maintenance visit can give you time to address wear before an upcoming trip.
At our Reno shop, we provide:
- Oil changes and preventative maintenance
- Brake inspections and brake repair
- Engine diagnostics and check engine light testing
- Steering, suspension, and wheel alignments
- Tire services and replacement
- Heating, air conditioning, and cooling system repair
- Timing belt replacement and scheduled maintenance
From daily commuting around Reno to weekend drives toward Tahoe, we will help you keep up with service based on your vehicle’s requirements, mileage, and use.
We work on domestic and import cars, SUVs, and pickups, including Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Hyundai, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram.
Get to Know the People Caring for Your Vehicle
A shop’s name matters, but the conversations at the counter and the work in the service bays are what build a relationship.
At Allen's Automotive, you can ask questions, describe a concern in your own words, and talk through a recommendation before deciding how to proceed. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis.
Our digital vehicle inspections let you see the findings shared by our technicians. Your advisor will explain how those findings relate to the work being recommended and help you separate immediate concerns from future maintenance.
That conversation can continue after your visit. If you have questions about your inspection or want to revisit a recommendation, contact our Reno team.
Local Service with Nationwide Warranty Coverage
Whether you stay close to home or regularly travel outside Northern Nevada, warranty coverage matters.
Most repairs at Allen's Automotive are backed by a three-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty. Ask your service advisor about the coverage and terms for your repair.
Downtown Reno at Our Doorstep
Located on East 4th Street, Allen's Automotive sits close to the heart of downtown Reno, with the casino skyline visible from our front door. It is a familiar setting for a shop many local drivers first knew as Levrett Automotive.
Downtown’s casinos, restaurants, and entertainment are within walking distance, giving you options if you would like to grab a meal or explore while your vehicle is with us. Before heading out, check with your service advisor about the expected timing of your visit and leave a number where we can reach you.
Whether you work downtown, live nearby, or are visiting Reno, our location makes it convenient to connect with a local repair team. We also welcome drivers from Sun Valley, Golden Valley, and surrounding Northern Nevada communities.
